This mission trip was very different than our trips to Africa. We went with a group from our church to serve alongside an amazing ministry called No Greater Love (Mayor Amor) to share the love of Jesus in El Salvador.

We were able to be part of rescuing over 15 men and 3 women off the streets who felt hopeless and were bound in alcohol and drug addictions.

Along with ministering to men, women, & youth, we painted, cleaned, helped build a men’s rescue home, and helped in the kitchen.

One of my favorite times was planting coconut palm trees. (Well, mostly the guys did the planting!). This ministry acquired some prime oceanfront property and they plan to build a self-sustaining farm as well as to build a future women’s home and orphanage.

The ministry center is located right on the ocean. While this trip had a few more obstacles than some of our other trips- such as a car accident, ear infections, eye infections, fevers, and several power outages; we were blessed to wake up to a beautiful ocean view every day!
